DANCE POLICY

September 2009

Please read the following carefully!

Sign in the designated place and return to Father Saban!

Throughout the year the Catholic Youth Organization and the Home and School Association sponsors dances for parishioners of Visitation BVM parish in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. These dances are seen as opportunities for our young people to socialize in a supervised in Catholic setting. They also provide the occasion to teach and learn important inter-relational skills from one another and from adult chaperones.

“Dance Policy” which follows is the result of a joint effort of our CYO and Home and School following “a dance survey” conducted in 1997 and revised in 2002. All parents and students are asked to cooperate in following this policy. Parents are asked to discuss this policy with their children and kindly sign the attached form in the designated place and return to Father Saban. Students will be permitted to attend the Visitation dance ONLY if a copy of this policy, signed by a parent or guardian, is on file in the office.
