Fall Sports 2010 Tryout Information

Dear Parents,

So that we can plan a successful CYO Fall Sports Season, we need to estimate the number of potential JV and Varsity players. Your timely response will give us enough time to find coaches, prepare equipment, identify practice facilities, and register the appropriate number of teams within our CYO region.

We are trying to fill a team for Cross Country we need to know if there is an interest for this sport. Cross Country is open to 4th through 8th grade boys & girls and starts in August and runs through mid September. Players can roster for Cross Country and any other Fall Sport. Please follow the same prompts below.

If your student will be in the 5th through 8th grade, (4th grade – Cross Country) this September, and intends to play a Fall Sport please click on "REGISTRAR" at the top of the home page. If your child played a sport, Pee Wee included, you should have an account already on file. Enter your account email address to gain access: if you forget your password, click on forgot password and an email will be sent. Please check your spam and bulk folders before requesting again. If you are new to CYO, please create an account, follow the prompts and then follow the directions below.*NOTE: THERE ARE CHANGES IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS. PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS and EXPLANATION DESCRIBED BELOW:
Register for the sport your child intends to play in the Fall Season and follow the prompts: for division, team, t-shirt, volunteer list – save and continue.
You will receive the following message: Waiting List Registration is full. You will be placed on the waiting list. If you continue your spot in the waiting list will be saved.
PLEASE CONTINUE.
The system will automatically assign each player to a "waiting list": *NOTE: this is not a true waiting list but only a holding spot designed for planning & communication purposes.
Continue to the consent and save – this will create the intent.
You can register for more than one sport.
This is an intent registration – it does not mean you have been accepted to a team – as previously stated; we need an estimate of how many athletes are interested.
Having the intents as a waiting list enables us to contact you through email of practice/tryouts conflicts and changes. Once CYO determines the amount of athletes for the amount of teams we can support, your intent registration will turn into a registration. Players who are assigned to a team will have their intent accepted and you will receive an email with team information. Instructions on how to finalize your registration/payment will be sent by email.
Some Fall Sports start in mid August, so please check your email, church bulletin and our website (visitationcyo.com) for information concerning registrations and tryout schedules. If you have any questions or problems registering please contact Mary Anne Decker at visiregistrar@yahoo.com or 610-635-9497.
Thank you,
Visitation CYO Board
