CYO COACH'S CHECKLIST

1. Read this Coach's Manual and the Archdiocese Athletic Handbook
2. Complete State Police Background Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance (if applicable)
3. Attend coach's orientation meeting:

   Designate when sign-ups and try-outs will be held
   Establish practice schedule

4. Select independent judges to assist with roster cuts (if applicable)
5. Review and sign your team roster.
6. Familiarize yourself with all facilities and related equipment
7. Attend Region 21 scheduling / organizational meeting
8. Give copy of schedule to Athletic Director and Program Coordinator
9. Prepare for Parents' Meeting
10. Select Team Parent to coordinate snack stand duties, phone chain, etc
11. Distribute uniforms and equipment at beginning of season.
12. Attend CYO Coach's Accreditation (if applicable)
13. Keep track of referee fees required for the season (if applicable)
14. Receive training for the Exposure Control Plan for Blood Borne Pathogens
15. Keep ice, first aid kit, and player medical forms with you at practices / games
16. Collect uniforms and equipment at end of season
17. Select player award recipients and forward to Athletic Director.
18. Begin and end each practice with a prayer
