VISITATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY PARISH

Catholic Youth Organization

OFFICE OF THE MODERATOR

September 2009

Dear CYO Friends,

I hope this letter finds all of our Visitation families refreshed and renewed as the 2009-2010 school year is upon us. As I enter my third year at Visitation, I haven enjoyed the many new friendships and watching the growth of our Visitation BVM community. I look forward to continuing to work with all of you and your children as we come together to serve each other in the name of Our Lord.

Our CYO will continue to provide opportunities for our young people to come together through the Cultural Enrichment Programs as well as service to our Church, School and Community.

Over the summer months, the CYO Board has worked on numerous projects such as the replacement of the parking fencing at the lower baseball field, the upgrade of the scoreboard at Mascaro Field, and the addition of wall padding in the multi-purpose gym/cafeteria. The Visitation CYO Board has been successful in completing these capital improvements through the generosity of donors and other fundraising programs.

Our Advisory Board, coaches, and assistants invite you, our parents, to take an active part in our CYO family, so that together we may continue to provide excellent programs for our children. Please consider sharing your time and talent by attending our monthly meetings that are posted on our website at www.visitationcyo.com. The meetings are held in the Larkin Center at 7:00 PM.

If possible, Please Participate in the Annual United Way Donor Drive Campaign.

If your place of employment offers you the opportunity to participate in the United Way, take the time to designate “#07393-CYO Visitation” as the recipient of your donation. Forms for participation are available at your place of employment. Also, ask if your company participates in a Matching Gift Program. Every dollar counts and we depend upon the generosity of all members of our Parish family. Even if you do not have children in the CYO, you can still help to touch the hearts and empower the youth who are the Church today and the leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you so much for your love and support of our children and for the CYO Program here at Visitation BVM. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, may our Lord Jesus bless and protect you always.

                                                                                                            God Bless You,

                                                                                                            Father Michael Saban
